Hours

The office is open for appointments from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Scheduling Appointments
Treatment appointments for young children are scheduled only for the morning hours before 1:00 p.m.  We have found that treatment appointments are easier when your child, the doctor, and staff are fresh.

Oral hygiene examinations and cleanings are scheduled with the dental hygienist.  These re-care appointments are made six months in advance for your convenience.  If you cannot make an appointment or will be late, please call the office.  We make every effort to stay on schedule.  You can help by being prompt for your appointments.  If you have to wait more than 15 minutes, please ask our business staff the reason for the delay.  We make every attempt to be on time.  Please remember, we run on children's time, not adult time.  Parents with children under the age of 18 should plan to remain on the premises during their child's treatment time.

Emergencies

In the event of a dental emergency, please call our office immediately.  The first 30 minutes are critical.  One of our doctors is available at all times.  If you call after hours, our answering machine will give the number of our doctors' pager.

If a permanent tooth is knocked our, rinse it off.  Do not scrub it.  Gently place it back into the socket.  If it will not go back into the socket, put it in milk.  Call our office and arrange to be seen by the doctor immediately.  We will rearrange our schedule to see an injured child.  Because many of the accidents children have involve the mouth, we frequently see emergencies.  We make every attempt to remain on schedule, but emergencies occasionally cause delays.  If this happens during your child's appointment, please remember we will also be available if your child is ever injured.

Telephone Calls

Telephone calls about billing or scheduling are taken by our appointment/account coordinator during regular business hours.  If your child has a dental problem and you wish to speak to the doctor, please call early in the morning and leave a message.  The doctor will call back as soon as possible.  If the matter is urgent, please tell our staff member the nature of the problem.  Every effort will be made to answer or return your call quickly.

Fees and Payment

Fees are determined by the amount of time spent with the doctor, in preparation or evaluating diagnostic data, and the cost of materials and laboratory fees.

To help keep costs down, we ask that payment be made when services are given.  We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, and Visa.  We will be happy to answer questions  about our financial policies.

Insurance

Please bring signed insurance forms and your insurance card to you first appointment.  We will file your insurance claim for you at that time.  We are glad to assist you in any way possible, but we cannot accept responsibility for collecting or negotiation disputed insurance claims.  The parent or guardian bringing the child to the office is responsible for payment of all fees.
